It was last year during the first term whiles I was teaching courses in political science and law related courses as part of my job as a university lecturer when I had an idea of including some lessons on academic writings on law essays and law dissertations. I thought of this idea because some of the undergraduate or bachelor's degree students who are part of the courses I teach would eventually enter law school after they graduate from their undergraduate programs. Moreover, some of the students under my classes would either be taking up undergraduate degrees or taught master's degrees, both of which would involve academic writings that include dissertations on law and law essays. So I decided to offer some short lessons on the differences between law dissertation and law essays.

Since the lessons I would teach were new, I had to read and study materials from the library and the Internet so I could prepare a formal and written lesson that I could present and discuss for the students who are interested in attending my lesson on the differences between law dissertation and law essays. When I finished reading and collecting the materials I needed for my lesson, I studied the materials so I could plan, outline and create a formal lesson on the distinctions between law or legal essays and law dissertations.

In my lesson on the distinctions between law dissertation and law essays, I explained that a legal essay is commonly written by undergraduate or bachelor's degree students who would not necessarily be taking up courses directly related to law and the students would perform law essay writing tasks as part of their course requirements. On the other hand, dissertations law would usually be written by students taking up taught master's degrees. Moreover, a law dissertation is similar to other dissertations on specific topics in which the dissertation is the document that records the research study of a thesis argument that is being examined.
