Your RC Nitro Gas Vehicle will benefit from the quickest and best start if you follow the guidelines below. These steps will ensure that your RC Nitro Gas Vehicle is optimally prepared and broken in for efficient operation.
1. Unpack your RC Nitro Gas Vehicle from its container, ensuring that you become acquainted with the following components:
* Fully assembled RC Vehicle separated from its packing plate.
* Antenna receiver, contained within its own tube.
* RC Vehicle toolkit, including glow plug engine starter.
* RC Vehicle transmitter control unit.
2. Fit freshly charged or new batteries into the transmitter control unit.
3. Carefully pull the antenna wire out from its tube so that about an inch length protrudes from the end of the tube. Make sure that the rest of the wire remains securely within the main receiver unit.
4. Fit, new or newly charged into the main receiver unit of your RC Nitro Gas Vehicle.
5. Install the radio receiver antenna into its control unit.
6. The following steps will allow you to check that the radio and servo unit settings are synchronised. Switch on the transmitter control unit and flick the receiver switch on your RC Nitro Gas Vehicle.
7. Pull the toggle on the transmitter, and the throttle servo positioned towards the back of your RC Nitro Gas Vehicle should revolve anticlockwise. If however, this servo turns clockwise, just move the TH servo reverse switch to the opposite setting.
8. In a similar fashion check the steering action of your RC Nitro Gas Vehicle by turning the steering wheel clockwise and then anticlockwise, and making adjustments using the ST switch.
9. Check that your RC Nitro Gas Vehicle is correctly adjusted when at rest, using the Neutral Trim settings. When the steering wheel and transmitter control unit are in the neutral, hands free position, the wheels of your RC Nitro Gas Vehicle should be aligned straight ahead.
10. Continuing with Neutral Settings, when the carburettor on your RC Nitro Gas Vehicle is closed off, the throttle servo horn must be aligned directly forwards and rearwards.
To summarise, both servo units of your RC Nitro Gas Vehicle should be centrally aligned so that they are in neutral positions. If they are not, adjust the steering and throttle trim controls appropriately.
Having implemented the steps in this guide, your RC Nitro Gas Vehicle transmitter, receiver and servo units will be optimally adjusted. The next article continues with practical steps to demonstrate the importance of tuning your RC Nitro Gas Vehicle engine.
