If you are interested in doing an MBA you should have a good idea of what field you wish to pursue. You can study Marketing, Human Resources Management, Financial Management or International business. Management education is an important first step if you wish to specialize in HR or Finance.
Before you decide what sector you want to get into, it is important to get admission is a good MBA school. For that purpose you have to sit for the CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA written exams that are conducted at an All India Level. Once you have cleared these exams the school will inform you of your selection and you will be required to participate in a personal interview or group discussion. Many schools also look into your academic history, work experience and co curricular activities list. After the school grants you admission you have to pay your fees and secure your seat.
Whether you wish to specialize in Human Resources Management, or Financial management you should know a little bit about these subjects. If you do your MBA in Finance you will definitely make good money, but the work hours will be long and hard. In Human Resources Management you are supposed to look after the company’s employees, recruit new employees and work in tandem with them.
Whatever Management education you choose to specialize in, remember to work hard, be sincere and don’t get swayed in by what other people want you to do. Do an MBA in whatever field you want and be successful in that field.
