BCA or Bachelor of Computer Application , a a three-year course , presents you the basics of computers as well as computer programming within six semesters which focus on the complexities of the computer world.
During the first semester , you are likely to be taught about the basic fundamentals like Computer Fundamentals & programming, Mathematics I and II, Business practices and Practical Software Lab. Semester II is all about Data & File Structure, Structured System Analysis, Mathematical Foundation of Computer Science, Digital Electronics and Practical Software Lab and Environmental Studies. The second year starts with Semester III and you are taught Computer System Architecture, Algorithm & Advance Data Structure, Micro Professors & Assembly Language, Data base system and Practical Software lab.
Semester IV is Operating Systems Organization & Unix, Software Engineering, Object Oriented Design & Programming, Financial Accounting and Practical Software Lab. Third year, semester V is about Data Communications & Networks, Computer Graphics, principle of Visual &Windows Programming, Java Programming & Internet Application and Practical Software Lab. The final semester VI is Internet Technologies &Applications, Scientific & Statistical Computing, Multimedia Information Systems and Practical Software lab.
