Computer is a machine used to perform large amount of calculations and run huge programs which are needed to enhance the skills of human beings. Back in time, if anyone remembers the first device ever to perform calculations was known as the abacus which had a great impact in the mathematical world. But then after the computer was introduced in this world it solved all the mathematical problems which human beings faced for a long time.
This was just information on the nature of a computer, now coming to the main parts of the computer. The main parts of computer includes a central processing unit also called CPU, motherboard, hard disk, monitor, keyboard, mouse and other useful parts which are used for if one needs to enhance and customize their computers. The CPU is also called the brain of the computer and in this system there is another important component called RAM meaning random access memory. RAM is used to temporarily store information and the drawback is that the information is lost once the computer is switched off. A mouse is a small device used to point and select programs and items on the computer screen, it is a small arrow called a cursor. Keyboards are used for typing text on the computer screen just like those keyboards which are on a type writer; it has numbers, alphabets and other important system programs keys on it. A monitor is for displaying information, and part that displays information is called a screen just like a screen on a television. We have learned that apart from hardware, we also have software that can be noted as a computers part. Because software is what makes sense into the computer’s existence reason. Without software the computer would be worthless and that’s a strong case in point because there is nothing these days that a software can’t do. You can go to any market where they cell discs and you would see the millions of kinds of software available that has been designed to fulfill some purpose. We have seen software that manages the entire inner hardware of the computer. So it’s safe in saying that software also plays a vital part being a computer’s fundamental part. The keyboard is for input of information, we type and it shows something, letters to be precise. We have the mouse, which is used to point to option and launch it in some way. There are two buttons and a scroll in the middle to navigate on pages horizontally and vertically as well. This makes it easier to work around pages and getting to options at once. We can also use the keyboard for these functions but it is always safe and easiest to use the computer. There are several more parts that include external options such as an external hard drive and flash memory, all used to transport and save data for further usage.
