· Employers should provide employees with adequate secure storage areas for their laptops, such as locked security closets, cabinets and lock down devices at desks and work stations.
· Although the theft of a laptop computer can occur at any place or time, there are certain obvious locations-- company offices, airports, hotels and conference centers, college
· campuses, libraries and hospitals -- where incidents occur most frequently. So it obviously pays to pay particular attention to your machine at these locations.
