In the past year of 2011, there were a lot of news about disaster in all over the world and aid boxes were arriving in the countries that had suffered with the huge disasters last years. Those countries are still sacrificing and making them self stable against the destruction made by natural disaster. Many NGO’s helped effected places with the aids and relief like food, water and aids (drugs & medicine) but still food and water are not enough to recover them from a huge destruction and there are many more basic necessities for living. The basic things they need at this time are the hope and volunteer to help them in building their homes and help them to come back in their life and it requires the specialized, skilled and professionals who can risk their life in the most unsafe areas and situation to help survivors and support them. All Hazards is a place where they train people for hazard handling training and disaster relief training. Many social people are getting trained themselves for helping others after the major disaster in 2011. Here we will talk about some of the BIG disasters taken place in 2011.

Last year in the month of February, on 22 February, 2011 an earthquake hits Christchurch in New Zealand. There were almost 160+ people lost their lives and where 2500+ people were injured, it ruined the business and homes of all the surroundings and people were forced to left their homes and business while some of the survivors were again started to live in damaged homes without the basic things including food, water, electricity, sewerage and no way to get in touch with their loved ones. Many NGO’s worked for them and fulfill their essentials needs by covering the whole effected area in teams and going door to door and looking for anyone help needy.

After some time another earthquake target the area of Japan with the huge destruction, this time is was more massive than the last one and effected with the confirm death of around 14,000 peoples and some about 13,000 people are still missing. After this huge struck, the Japanese NGO’s and volunteers helped the effected with food, aids, water and camps because they were homeless or displaced by the earthquake and its aftershocks.

These were the destruction made by natural disasters but in at the end of 2010 and starting of 2011 the election was held in Ivory Coast and dispute arises. This causes fled the homes of more than one million people and including two hundred thousand people crossed the border to the neighbor countries. The greater part of refugees are still living in the poorest countries in the world Liberia, they use to live in camps and villages where there is no proper supply of food and water and even shortage of shelters and latrines. But now it is observed that many volunteers are active in helping them to reach their families and homes, they are helping them to find their homes, husbands, wives, children, parents and other siblings and providing them with food, water, shelters so they can come back to their normal life with new aims to establish their home and business.
