With the help of theories alone, life can not be learned or lived as it is practical. Same is the case in case of any profession where an individual can learn new aspects of their jobs when learning the same on the job. You can learn a lot of things through theories. But when you make it practical your success begins there. To help you learn things in practical apprenticeships are essential.
In theories, you can learn engineering, medical sciences and law. But the success lies in the way you adapt these theories in practical life. The importance of the theories is becoming less once you came out of the college and joined in a profession. To prove that you are capable of handling situations independently you will have to show your skills practically. You will have to have a lot of practical experiences too for achieving this ability. From those you have studied in books the real situations may be different. You may have to take spot decisions and you may be alone at that time. Here through apprenticeships the practical experiences you have gained will come for your help.
For example, if consider the profession of a lawyer, he is studying the laws, rules and regulations in the colleges. But the arguments and cross examines which he has learned in books may not work when he is physically appearing in a court to argue a case. The witnesses may not put their statement as he wants them to do. The evidences may not be favoring the interests of his client as he wants them to be. In such cases the theories he learned from the colleges may not come for his help. For his rescue, the practical wisdom he achieved through the apprenticeships will come here. That is the importance of apprenticeships in one’s professional life.
However, to be a successful professional, under an expert you should undergo apprenticeship. Otherwise the result may be negative. Although, you have to undergo a lot of pain and agonies during apprenticeships a rigorous training under an expert in that field will make you a successful professional.
In other words we can say that the first stepping stone to a successful professional life is the successful completion of apprenticeships. So, during your apprenticeships, you should take more pain and should do more hard work. I terms of success and money in future this will pay you back.
All over the world, there are a number of senior professional who are offering apprenticeships to fresher in their profession. In grooming new professional in their field they are really doing a good job. It is a part of the nation building too. The development of the nation will happen automatically when a nation is becoming rich with high quality professionals in each field. If you are just out of college after completing the course that is the importance of apprenticeships and you should take it seriously.
