Peter is among these IT executives who have crossed technological boundaries in the IT industry yet still shined through.

After getting his BS in Computer Science from Embry Riddle in 1988, he worked at the as Development Manager at the Siemens Stromberg Carlson from 1989 to 1996 while taking his Masters in Computer Engineering from University of Central Florida which he finished in 1990. He then obtained an MBA in 1998 from the Darthmouth College’s Amos Tuck School of Business in New Hampshire.  Even before getting his MBA Peter Bauert served as a Consultant for Bain & Co in 1997 and then became e VP for Corporate Development at Cybergold from 1997 to 2000 where he increased the company revenues to 33% and acquired companies like iTarget boosting its revenues to 60%.  Then from 2000 to 2002, he served SalesDriver as CFO where he increased its business threefold.

But it was from 2002 to 2007, when Peter Bauert shined the most prior to his current position at Parallels.  He served as EVP for Strategy and Operations at FAST (Fast Search & Transfer, Inc), a Norwegian search technology company. He was instrumental in growing the business from a $30 million to a $137 million company when he resigned.  Under his watch, the company went into joint ventures with Rakuten and Telestra and acquired NextPage and AltaVista Enterprise Search.   His success carved his reputation in the IT industry as a joint venture guru and maverick strategist that landed him in his present job as COO and CFO at Parallels.
