The nose is a part of the fuselage positioned at the front of the airplane forward of the wings, and which is susceptible to damage during a diving crash. Some remote control airplanes may have a propeller mounted on the nose. The fuselage is the main body of the remote control airplane. In a real airplane, the pilot, passengers and cargo would be located in this area. In remote control airplanes, remote control electronics such as the servos, batteries, motors and wiring are located inside the fuselage. In some remote control airplanes, the fuselage resembles a long stick or rod. The wings on a remote control airplane are fixed and attached onto the fuselage and do not normally flap or turn.
These wings are available in a variety of shapes including curved, straight, rounded, flat, triangular and elliptical. The propeller is a common feature in most remote control airplanes with the most common being the 2 and 3 blade propellers. The propeller is normally attached to the motor and may be mounted on the tail, nose or the wings. Most remote control airplanes will normally have anywhere between 1-3 or more propellers.
