Ronnie Wood is of course best known as a rock guitarist and bassist in The Rolling Stones. However, this is not the only outlet for his creative energy. The 64-year-old is also a talented artist. Indeed, those seeking art prints for sale can find some of his work at Artisan Galleries.
Recently, the celebrity spoke to the Guardian about his love of engaging in visual creation. He remarked: "People don't know that I'm an artist. Playing music as part of a team effort is wonderful, but to express individuality as an artist is very personal. Art is more powerful, a more personal statement."
According to the publication, Wood never leaves his home without taking his sketchbook with him. Meanwhile, while he is working at his easel he listens to Mozart.
People keen to get their hands on art canvas prints featuring the star's work may have been among those who visited a major retrospective in London last month that featured 100 of his works amassed by American multi-millionaire Bernie Chase.
Commenting on the man he has idolised since boyhood, Mr Chase remarked: "Ronnie played with everybody and kept friends with everybody - George Harrison, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend ... The iconic rock'n'roller. His art explains the history of English rock'n'roll."
As well as art canvas prints, Wood's work also appears on paper.
Meanwhile, Royal Academician Sir Peter Blake pointed out that Wood deserves to be taken seriously as an artist. He stated: "I think people haven't given him credit because he's a rock star, whereas he draws well and he's a good painter."
Adding to the praise, art historian Edward Lucie-Smith commented: "Ronnie is in the top flight as a musician, but he's also a fully trained artist - and it shows."
These days, a rising number of individuals eager to purchase art prints for sale head online to make their selections.
