The National Gallery assigned a Scientific Adviser in 30s of the previous century who conducted pioneering work in established a Physics Laboratory and X-Ray photography of pictures at the Gallery. The worth of the Scientific Department was fast ratified by a government query in 1947; whose information stressed scientific research was necessary to support the Conservation Department’s work. This resulted in the Chemical Laboratory’s establishment, whose work comprised investigating paints, conservation, and varnishes materials.
Today, it is a must-see spot in London, which is attended by many visitors from various parts of the world.
