Carrying photos in purses or wallets is something people have been doing almost as long as they have been able to easily create small prints. However, even the very best photos will tend to end up hidden behind cards and receipts, and ultimately forgotten about.
Likewise, whilst our best photos would once have sat in photo albums, they now tend to languish in cyberspace or on hard drives where the majority are almost instantly forgotten about. The reasons for this are twofold. Firstly, it is far less appealing to scroll through pictures on our computers and, secondly, with digital photography, we are now able to take so many photos, so easily, the majority that we take are simply of very little interest a few months down the line.
